Hamburger Buns

makes 6 buns bigger buns or 8-10 mini burgers. Very tasty and easy to make.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 120 ml milk
  • 120 ml water
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 1/2 tps white sugar
  • ¾ tps salt
  • 345 g all-purpose flour
  • ½ package dry yeast

Additionally:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbs water

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients into the bread maker. Use the program dough (which takes about 2 hours on our bread maker).
  2. When the bread maker is close to being done, Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Take dough, divide it through 6 (10) and make 6 (10) round shapes for your burgers. Press with the palm of your hand to flatten it.
  3. Mix together the egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of water in a cup or small bowl. Brush onto the tops of the rolls. Position 2 oven racks so they are not too close to the top or bottom of the oven.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven until nicely browned on the top and bottom.
