Hamburger Buns
makes 6 buns bigger buns or 8-10 mini burgers. Very tasty and easy to make.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 120 ml milk
- 120 ml water
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 1/2 tps white sugar
- ¾ tps salt
- 345 g all-purpose flour
- ½ package dry yeast
Additionally:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbs water
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients into the bread maker. Use the program dough (which takes about 2 hours on our bread maker).
- When the bread maker is close to being done, Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Take dough, divide it through 6 (10) and make 6 (10) round shapes for your burgers. Press with the palm of your hand to flatten it.
- Mix together the egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of water in a cup or small bowl. Brush onto the tops of the rolls. Position 2 oven racks so they are not too close to the top or bottom of the oven.
- Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven until nicely browned on the top and bottom.
