My doggy is finally done - yay. Isn’t it cute?

… just missing the horrifying French knots. Hope I get it done tomorrow, so I can send it off.

I also received something really cool. Something I wanted since a long time and now finally got from my lovely DH. A DSLR from Nikon! I always wanted to take real pro photos, but just never had the money or when I had the money I did not have the interest at that moment. Either way, when I wrote my thesis and got used to DSLR, I knew I had to have one.

And one of the first photos I took with it were of Snoopy and Andy. Most did not turn out so great as I am still playing and it is different than the Canon I used for college, but I did manage to get a really pretty photo of Snoopy - who already blogged about his day here.

Here’s my latest progress on the doggy front. It’s coming along nicely and I think I can finish it soon. However, I think I am missing the colours for the ball of yarn. Ah well.

.. progress. I finished the head and can now move to the body and ball of yarn.

I am feeling very very bad, so not much chatting/talking/anything But today, I got something to make me smile. Our own Snoopy is now officially a disapproving bunny. Not that we did not know that yet

.. I would have done more, if I had felt better .. maybe tomorrow.

I could have stitched more today, but it’s getting dark and I have some eye problems. I will start stitching earlier tomorrow, so I can do more …

I did not get to stitch as much today, as I had to clean, wash lots of clothes and cook. Add a headache to it and the mix is complete. Anyway, here’s the photo.

I also did some spinning, but it’s not worth mentioning as it was only a few yards.

My job search is going bad, alas my mood is pretty lousy  …..   Nothing better to cure a sadness than a shopping therapy, right? Right. I got yet another new cell phone. No, I do not need more than one, but a certain father was unable to operate his new cell phone and then took mine.  My new one is a Nokia N82. I especially like the built-in Maps which I can also download for free to the phone, the GPS built-in and the camera. Oh, and it can do the telephone thingy, too.

To show that I AM actually stitching, here’s my progress for the RR. It’s very hard for me to stitch as it’s always dark in our home and I do not have the nerves for little stitches, but I do hope to be done with it early next week.

.. is a fun event for spinners to do while the real Tour de France is going on. I decided to join and spin some 8oz roving I bought off from etsy. It’s a beautiful, soft merino and I try to spin it into light fingering or lace weight. So something that I can knit a stole with.

I also stitched some on the dog RR which I am hopelessly behind.

I also tried some spinning yesterday, and got some nice thicker than DK yarn out .. sadly only 2.5m after plying I wish I had more fiber to spin some more yarn. It’s fun and addictive

Sorry no stitchy photos. I just cannot get into stitching - which is bad. Putting little stitches on fabric is boring me and giving me bad headaches - since I need to work almost all day starring at the screen, knitting and spinning is quite relaxing for my eyes.

I got to knit a little while doing 30 mins of step (which is a part of Wii Fit) and later while we ate. I did 7 repeats out of 11.5, though I might do it a little bit longer, but not sure yet.

I also was a good girl about the cute Doggy RR and stitched the head as well as most frame of the border.
