No kidding. I am serious. See:

My job search is going bad, alas my mood is pretty lousy ….. Nothing better to cure a sadness than a shopping therapy, right? Right. I got yet another new cell phone. No, I do not need more than one, but a certain father was unable to operate his new cell phone and then took mine. My new one is a Nokia N82. I especially like the built-in Maps which I can also download for free to the phone, the GPS built-in and the camera. Oh, and it can do the telephone thingy, too.
Meaning that I will not reach my goal of spinning the 8oz I have
Ah well. I am still proud of spinning and plying around 1500m of nicely, 2 plied yarn. Yay. So actually … it should be multiplied by 3, as I had to spin two singles and then ply them
Anyway, here’s my third skein that sadly still needs some more plying, but it should be done before the tour ends tomorrow.

I also had my graduation yesterday, but still no diploma only a standard thing everyone else got to. I did not know one had to fill out a form in order to get it so I need to wait. Kind of upsetting, though, as I could have gotten it a while ago. No job in sight yet, either. Ah well.
.. my job search is going horrible. All I get are no’s and it puts me in a bad state of mind. Not that they only do not want me, but they actually reject me without even any invitation - which means they do not even consider me :’-( Not even my medicine really helps anymore
And without job, we cannot move. And we want to move so bad. This apartment is driving me crazy for various reasons.
I am not sure what to do now, so any warm wishes, good thoughts and crossed fingers sure would be appreciated.
Sometimes I truely believe the universe hates me. Seriously. Sorry for this personal rant, but I thought I’d share it on here.
Today, I went to my parents to get my thesis from the printer. It was utterly, 100% terribly made. Not only was it not a book, it also was horribly cut as well as ugly printed. Well, I hope you can somehow see the horribleness of this version in this photo below.

To make a long story short, I drove home to a copy shop here, met my aunt and uncle by a luckily accident, got money to get my copies and got home with beautifully thesis books. Aren’t they yummy?

I just sent off my thesis to the printer after a having a nervous break down yesterday (had to work 12 hours, ate nothing, drank hardly anything - do not ask). Making the final touches was a real pain in the b##t. I do hope I caught all errors and everything. Either way, it’s off now and will be nicely printed and turned into 122 pages books. I need 6 copies (one for us, one for my parents and the rest for school), which will cost a big fortune.
Tomorrow will be my day off. On Monday I will start doing the presentation and Tuesday I will pick up my books and give them to the profs.
Thanks everyone for all the lovely comments you left the last few posts
Now that most of my work is done, I will be able to comment and talk more again
Oh .. and I went the doc last Monday and got antibiotics - which is always very troublesome for me as I have allergies to 99.9% of them. So far, this time I am lucky and nothing too bad happened yet. So hopefully it’ll stay like that.
I think I am finally getting the cold which germs bugged me since Christmas, so my throat and head hurts. Not even ice cream helped me really. It’s only 8AM and I am pretty tired.
Other than that, not much up. No job news so far. I will meet the Prof tomorrow as I fixed most of my thesis. Hope it is approved now and I can do the presentation in 2ish weeks. Can’t wait to be done and to be able to move.
means missing in action. And that’s what I am - missing in action. I am messing with my thesis all day and hope that I am able to give it away tomorrow. I cannot wait. I am so tired of it.
I lost something important. I do not know where it is, but I am sure it is somewhere. Hope I will find it soon. And I also forgot the cable for my laptop, so it’s dead until we or my aunt can pick it up. Great
ETA: I fond the important thing! Thank goodness. I felt so bad about it.
I am still pretty upset about that job not being mine, but ah well. Sure something else will come up. Thanks Heidi and Sonya for the heads up
Yesterday was my granny’s 78th bday. We celebrated by going with her to breakfast as well as taking her to my parents and spend the day with her, eating cake and BBQ. It was a nice day. I spun a bit and she was very interested in that.

Here’s a long term project I am working on. I want to spin enough yarn to knit a Snoopy bunny that will be felted. Needed is around 330 meters of yarn. This skein took two days to do and has about 19 meters .. you get the idea of the time frame for this.
. I did not get the gov job I was hoping for
Pretty sad and down at the moment
This morning, hubby and I decided to go somewhere. The two places would have been the Zoo in Landau or the Rhine in Speyer. Hubby decided for Speyer, so we took the car and the business navigation system and left. I know the way to Speyer, so it was a good test to see how the system would be. It was pretty cool and even beeped when speeding
Once there, we walked around the Rhine - which was lovely. Photos are here.

After an one hour walk, we walked back to the car and saw a mini golf place. I hesitated, but DH wanted to. Turns out it’s only 2 € each, so we played. It was much fun, but took almost an hour to finish. DH won, though we both did horribly. I only warmed up at he 17th hole
Ah well. So we spent 5 € for over 2.5 hours of fun - that’s great
Since it was an open Sunday in town, we bought some bunny food and tomatoe plants for my mom. We also could not pass this. It was cheaper than my parents’, but still has it all
Cannot wait to try it when we drive home tomorrow.
I only knitted a little between yesterday and today. I cannot remember what I did yesterday that took so much time … oh, never mind .. I had trouble with the hank of yarn as I never used it before and it got all knotty as I did not roll it into a ball of yarn. Took over half the day to fix it. Today was mostly spent running around and shopping.

I also got to - for the first time in over 7 years - to drive automatic. I remember the first time 7 years ago was in a foreign country with a car I did not own. It was bad, as I always hit the break peddle real hard having the stick methods in through and through. Anyway, this time it worked really well and the car is just lovely.

[little story behind: I was looking around on Ravelry and came to the idea that actually I could use my drop spindle and the fiber I had laying around for four years.]
.. I was excitingly waiting to arrive at my parents sure that they have the drop spindle and the fiber in my bedroom at their house. We arrived, I went through the whole closet - no spindle
I am sad. I took only minimum craft things with me
No stitching, one skein of Possum Paints and needles … and that for 4-5 days. D’oh!
Come to think of it, I remember putting it in my craft closet when we cleared out a moving box to give to Snoopy to play in
The day is always so fast over, I hardly get to do anything real fun. Not talking about Mr. Stomps - aka Snoopy. He stomps the night away, literally.
First of all, I got my laptop back yesterday. It’s nice to have it back, though all my files are lost. I spent a lot of the day re-installing stuff. Not all the way done, but have the most important things on. I always did not get a chance to copy my files on here.
As for other news, I have been stitching a little. On a white puppy playing with a teddy bear.

Hubby also received some of his comics from the US .. and I got some things too

And some lovely sock yarn, too: Schoeller& Stahl with both Germany’s and US’s flagg colours. Tofutsies which is partly made out of Shrimp and Craps shells (well, like 2% or so … it feels nice). Possom Paints which is hand painted by Grinny Possum’s Fiber Arts. Thanks for all those lovely goodies

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who commented on my blog the last few days. I am sorry I did not really get to comment on yours, but soon will be back on track and commenting lots
I am back .. on my old laptop (the fan issue one, for those who follow here for a longer time). The other one had to be sent in to ACER to get a new HDD. I will be meeting with the proff about my thesis on Friday.
While away, I stitched a little (on the dog RR) and also finished (almost) the test knitting I did for someone. I will share a photo of the finished cardigan as soon as I bought buttons and bloked.
Snoopy had a great time the past week, playing Mario Kart Wii and fighting the mean Hay Monster. He was so hungry, but wanted to go out so bad that he just combined both :

I am having an awefully bad day, with lots of stress, trouble and tears that was crowned by my laptop hard drive frying and now all my files are lost - including my thesis. Yep, I am serious. Not sure yet wether or not I will get a new laptop tomorrow or they’ll insist of sending it in.
I am pretty p####ed off at life. I am going to be away for a while until I have my thesis fixed and all. See you.
