.. days since hubby is here in Germany. During this time a lot happened: I had a surgery, we had to sort out our wedding things, we married, my doggy died, hubby’s first birthday together, Christmas, my birthday and more. Many good and many bad times. Life has been better than ever before
I love you, hubby, more than ever :)
Since it’s so un-picture-y here lately, I though that especially since Andy and I cleaned a lot lately, I can take some pics of our apartment. Somehow this pic of our dining room did not want to act the way I did, but that’s ok. You can see this and some other pics of our home right here :-) I will be adding more soon, so one actually gets to see the whole thing

And here’s hubby while working being supervised by Snoopy:

Andy just called to let me know he’ll be home late
It’s only a 20 min delay, but still .. Meanwhile Snoopy finally got out of his cage for his nightly “I-need-to-run-around” before it’s bedtime
Here’s a little pic of our bunny:

I finished the Christmas Fairy this morning, ironed her and also framed her. Only the hanging up part is not done yet

Andy and I are doing great, being finally back at home. We had a good nights sleep - except that Snoopy had to drink at 5:20. First day of school is boring and I can’t wait to be done
Andy will have to go to language school tonight, so I will be home alone (aww). I also started a new on the go project, which is lovely small. I am going to show a pic tomorrow, when our internet finally works - yay
can’t wait.
Hope anyone of you blog reader missed me. I am sorry to all friends I did not email yet and possibly won’t get to until the new year. Right now, we have no internet access at our apartment, Andy needed to go to the old apartment to work. Now that we’re at my parents I am using their pc, but my emails are on my laptop at home + I am just not in the mood to do a lot with their pc.
Wednesday was the big move. Got up at 6, got ready, drove to Karlsruhe and started packing like crazy. We had to be done before the truck came with the two guys meeting us. It was a pain in the ####, but we made it. My aunt cleaned and put things in the new kitchen. My cousin was carrying stuff into the new apartment. Andy, mom and me were packing running around and stuff. I drove out to store to buy the breakfast, by the time I got back the moving crew was there and already put the washing machine in the basement. They started with the closet in the hallway. We ate and then worked. After a while my mom and I left to drive my aunt to the station. We also had to buy paint, fly gitter and things. When we got back, they were just building the living room closet which did not fit were it was supposed to, but on another spot. Minwhile Andy put the table together and tried the chairs. After another little food time, we headed to the last few things. At 3PM or so, we finally got done with everything we wanted and then could stop for the day.
Thursday was full of work again. I started wasking our clothes with the new cool washing machine, while putting things away and all. Fun fun. After Andy finsihed work, we headed to the store again to buy plastic for the floor and some other pain things. Then - at home - we started painting. What a pain. It takes forever to tape important things, then to paint. I looked all white by the time we were done with room number one.

Today was the same again: cleaning some, washing lots, painting the other room, cleaning some more, eating, driving around. I am so done with all this, I can tell you. My arms are useless, my hands are dry and itchy, I hurt and tired. And there’s still so much to do
As for good news, we got the hardware needed for our DSL today. Now only waiting to get the passwords etc. Hope it’s coming any day now as they said it’d be usable on the 2nd Jan …
Everyone is sad for losing someone (or more), so it’s not a too happy time. However, we managed to make it through the first Christmas holiday without too many probs.
Turkey is today here. And boy was it giantic. It has about 19 lbs and Andy carried it from the basement fridge into the 2nd kitchen. Just look at them both, can you figure out which is Andy and which our tasty yummy turkey?

Snoopy seemes to like it at my parents. We went to the garden with him today again, and he was running around being happy. He also enjoyed jumping out of the box, pooping on their carpet
and things like that.
As for good news, the key finally arrived at our landlords and alas we can move in on Wednesday. Yay. It’s about time. We’re really glad now.
Today was the longest day I have of the week, though it now only starts at 9:50, so that’s pretty cool. I got up, read emails etc, did some dishes and washed some clothes. Yep. And all that before school even started. Awesome, eh?
School was ok. Been a long day with adjustment, statistics, 3-D-Modelling and work science. I surely almost fell asleep a couple of times. Been also really tired lately and not in a too good mood, but ah well.
Andy was supposed to cook diner and pick me up. He forgot to get out the meat on time and so he could not cook. Also, he did not get to pick me up as someone was on the door right after I called and he did not want to go out then … Boys.
Do not worry, I will stop counting after that week of school. Would be too cruel to know how many days I spent in school at each semester anyway
Today’s lessons were Photogrammetry and Adjustment - again. Not much new to say about that, so I wil let it be. However, two lessons make me be at school from 8 - 11:20. Not too bad and very cool
I got home, we ate and got ready for the foreigner department. As we arrived at the town hall way too early, I thought I could go ahead and get my new ID and drivers lisence. So I got a number, we checked out where the foreigner department was and went back to the other room. The lady I got was rather nice, but show as hell. Suddenly, it was almost 2:12PM I said like “ooh, I have an apointment” and asked if I should come back later. She said it’d be fine and I did not have to come back. Costed only 17 EUR for both ID and drivers license, so not too bad. I paid and ran out. We ran to the foreigner department where the translator waited for us and luckily the guy was not in yet.
I did not check my watch when we got in or left, but the whole thing went over incredible fast and Andy got his permission to stay and work for a whole year. Yay. The visa was free, to my surprise. He must take a German class though, which is going to be 1€/hour. Not too bad :)
Then we took a journey to the custom service. Oh boy, it was such a pain. Really. It took a while as we had to take a cable car and then the bus. Due to not knowing where it is, we went way too eary off the bus. Then walked and walked. We did not find the building at first, but then we found it and it all went fine. Was so glad when we got home.
Luckily, tomorrow’s classes are canceled, so I get to rest. Feeling really extremely tired.
Andy and I travelled to Karlsruhe today, as I had a doc’s apointment. I was so scared to go, but it turned out my surgery went ok and the healing progress is very well. Still needs time, though.
After that we went to the town center. I made Andy wearing some suits - which was the first time ever I saw Andy trying pants on in a store!
Anyway, we found one that looks nice, though we will have to shorten the pants. 1 jacket, 1 vest and 2 pants for 50 EUR. Wow
It was on sale from 100. We left it on reservation there as we did not have enough money to do this and the rings. We bought the rings! We can pick them up in the next ten or so days. Mine will say Andrew and Andy’s Selina. I did not really want the date for some reaons. Thought it’d be nice to have each other’s names
We’re almost 100% sure they are those ones here:

I looked for a skin-coloured bra and a undies, but the sort of bra I wear only has a very light pink or white (both might not be too good, but not sure yet) which would cost 20 EUR. Or a different brand in skin-colourish for 30, though not sure if this one actually gives a nice shape or not. Undies are around 7 EUR, so not too bad.
At the station, I also bought a mag as it looked nice. It has a sweater in it which I just have to do. Since we’re home I am trying to track down this wool. No luck. I wonder if it’s either brand new or already out of stock. It’s a pain. I really want that sweater
Here’s a pic of it, btw:

I should mention one little story. At 4 PMish, Andy and I arrived at the station to get back to my parents as I have to see another doc tomorrow. Anyway, we hardly ate all day and so we went to McDonalds to eat. Was very tasty
Sadly, the milk shake machine was broken, so no tasty milk shake
While eating, I was kidding and said my mom would buy fast food tonight, too, and things like that. When we picked us up, she gave me a Burger King coupon sheet and said I should pick what we want. So we ate another burger at my parents. Ooh, the fun of fast food - within 3 hours twice ..
I went to the apartment today by car, to check on mail and things. Well, it’s no fair at all, but Andy got his gift exchange gifts already. I got nothing - no fair
Andy got himself some comic books, and I will get some cross stitch kits. Can’t wait.
We also got a letter with a 35 EUR bill we have to go. Guess from who? The registrar’s office!!! Our papers are all clear. It’s been hardly 10 days, and they were talking about 3-8 weeks!!! Yippy. After paying this bill (will do so on Monday as I have to go to the bank to get a stamp on it, online paying won’t work as well), we will get our date - which should be sometime in the next 4 weeks or so. Hooray
.. to Andy’s socks world. I finally got his socks done and - shock - this time they are really the same length. I have the stupid tendency to knit one sock shorter than the other one because I want to get them done sooner than they would be done
Pics will follow on linabear.com on the weekend. Now to Row of Love, maybe.

my servers are finally back online after over 12 hours of being off. I assume they rebooted the server, which always takes ages to do. I surely gave them my 2 cents on it. 12 hours, jeez.
YESTERDAY:
Anyway, here’s my progress on Row Of Love from last night. It’s not too much, but at least I am getting things done.

We went to Karstadt last night and bought a messauring tape, so I can do the Meassuring Tape Cover
I am so eager to start this, really. Can’t wait.
TODAY:
I went to the doc today, and she looked if it’s healing fine. It obviously does and there are no infections or problems of any kind. Hooray. I asked her how long it takes until it’s finally healed. I guess I will be cranky another week or two, but then it should be fine. Hooray
A little update: I think the lotion starts to not hurt so bad anymore or I am used to it or my skin is getting better. Phew, so glad. On Friday at 7:45 I will have my ultra-sound and pre-surgery discussion. Hope it all goes well. However, I think I got a little cold last night - as my ear hurts and it hurts to swallow
Work started bad. One of the two guys I went out with had problems transfering our survey to the field claculator. Then - after it was done - the key for our car was just gone. We did not get to leave until almost 7:45. Pretty late considering that we usually leave at 7:00. Work itself was ok, but it was really hot and I sweated so much. Luckily we went to a nice person and he gave us apple juice and water to drink. We worked until almost 2PM and then went to eat and drink something. They dropped me off only 10 mins from where we live, so I was at home really early.
Good news, I also got the call today. We can go on the 1st August, alas most likely marry around the 18th September. Hooray. Will have to email one or two translators, if they have time to come. Hope so.
As for other news, I made a list with kits and patterns I have. Click here to see it
I also keep getting those annoying spams. Some ppl just don’t know when to stop. It’s always the same stupid person, I can tell that. I will take actions now. You’re messing with the wrong person, dude.
