I am at 33 repeats out of the 50 that are supposed to be knitted for each side. I really like this yarn and the subtle pinks - very pretty.

… just missing the horrifying French knots. Hope I get it done tomorrow, so I can send it off.

I did not stitch too much on the puppy, but it is not worth the picture taking & uploading work so I will show one tomorrow. It’ll definately be sent out on Monday

My godmom has her 50th bday soon and we need a gift for her. Buying stuff is hard, so I came out with knitting a scarf for her. It should be easy to knit, but not boring .. so I came across the Flutter scarf pattern and fell in love with it right away. I casted it on right away and hope it will be done until the 10th September.

.. on the cute, little knitty doggy - yay Tomorrow, I will hopefully be able to do all the backstitching and the French knots, so I will be done with one

I also received something really cool. Something I wanted since a long time and now finally got from my lovely DH. A DSLR from Nikon! I always wanted to take real pro photos, but just never had the money or when I had the money I did not have the interest at that moment. Either way, when I wrote my thesis and got used to DSLR, I knew I had to have one.

And one of the first photos I took with it were of Snoopy and Andy. Most did not turn out so great as I am still playing and it is different than the Canon I used for college, but I did manage to get a really pretty photo of Snoopy - who already blogged about his day here.

One is Kiri, on which I have been working on for a so long. I screwed up the edging, so it looks weird. It is actually done since a while, but I did not get to take a picture until now. The photo is not so great, though.

And a thong, knitted out of hand spun SW merino. I am rather pleased how this one came out. It’s comfortable to wear and - since I have some left over yarn - I might even go for a matching bra.

Here’s my latest progress on the doggy front. It’s coming along nicely and I think I can finish it soon. However, I think I am missing the colours for the ball of yarn. Ah well.

Today, I finished my Blue Jeans Yarn. It came out alright with 350m. Judging by the quality of the yarn, I think I can make it into socks, though they might not be the softest. I like the little colour variations and all. It’s very nice.

Here’s the ultimate proof that regular Ashford bobbins CAN hold 4 oz, but do not ask about how hard it was to paddle for the last 50 - 100 m.

I have been pretty busy the last few days since we’re house sitting, so there’s lots to do. Combined with me not having slept well for the last few days, life is … different I could not stitch due to the lack of sleep, but I did some spinning and finished the singles for my dad’s XMAS gift today. Snoopy decided to be the quality supervisor and checked them out. I think he has not too pleased with the evenness, but he let it pass.

Speaking of that cute, little sunshine … he has no his own blog. He thought it’d be nice if his life was better documented in some way. So please hop over to the Life of Snoopy and leave him some lovely comments I am sure he’ll be thrilled.

.. progress. I finished the head and can now move to the body and ball of yarn.

I am feeling very very bad, so not much chatting/talking/anything But today, I got something to make me smile. Our own Snoopy is now officially a disapproving bunny. Not that we did not know that yet

.. I would have done more, if I had felt better .. maybe tomorrow.

.. on my lovely Traveler. Still undecided if it’s going to be 2 or 3 plied. Some parts of it are thin enough to make a lovely three plied yarn and other pats are thick enough for a beautiful two plied yarn. I guess I will have to spin it all and then see what I’d like more.

I could have stitched more today, but it’s getting dark and I have some eye problems. I will start stitching earlier tomorrow, so I can do more …

I did not get to stitch as much today, as I had to clean, wash lots of clothes and cook. Add a headache to it and the mix is complete. Anyway, here’s the photo.

I started spinning this a few days ago, but only spin a little a day. I had planned to spin it into a three plied sock yarn for my dad for XMAS, but my first singles seems to be too thick and too uneven to make sock yarn. It does not feel like sock yarn either. I might only do a two ply yarn …
