Since forgetting almost every crafty-related thing and not being able to do what I was hoping, I started with what I have and saw what I can do from my Possum Paints. I already took fancy in Sinuate the day it came out. The colours in the photo are not so well as it’s night and I had to use a flash.
[little story behind: I was looking around on Ravelry and came to the idea that actually I could use my drop spindle and the fiber I had laying around for four years.]
.. I was excitingly waiting to arrive at my parents sure that they have the drop spindle and the fiber in my bedroom at their house. We arrived, I went through the whole closet - no spindle I am sad. I took only minimum craft things with me No stitching, one skein of Possum Paints and needles … and that for 4-5 days. D’oh!
Come to think of it, I remember putting it in my craft closet when we cleared out a moving box to give to Snoopy to play in
The day is always so fast over, I hardly get to do anything real fun. Not talking about Mr. Stomps - aka Snoopy. He stomps the night away, literally.
First of all, I got my laptop back yesterday. It’s nice to have it back, though all my files are lost. I spent a lot of the day re-installing stuff. Not all the way done, but have the most important things on. I always did not get a chance to copy my files on here.
As for other news, I have been stitching a little. On a white puppy playing with a teddy bear.
Hubby also received some of his comics from the US .. and I got some things too
And some lovely sock yarn, too: Schoeller& Stahl with both Germany’s and US’s flagg colours. Tofutsies which is partly made out of Shrimp and Craps shells (well, like 2% or so … it feels nice). Possom Paints which is hand painted by Grinny Possum’s Fiber Arts. Thanks for all those lovely goodies
I wanted to say thanks to everyone who commented on my blog the last few days. I am sorry I did not really get to comment on yours, but soon will be back on track and commenting lots
This is totally un-crafty related, but here it goes:
I found a job offer in Koblenz (laying in my home state) that would offer 15 months of education (yep, school again) starting in October with payment. Afterwards I’d get into an un-fire-able gov employment with some nice money
The same job offers are being made in Bavaria (starts in Nov) as well as in Hessen (starts in Oct), were as I am unsure whether or not Hessen would give out a permanent job afterwards. Sadly, our state is already done with this year’s canidates as they started working this month.
I will be meeting my prof on Friday and will ask him if he can somehow give me something that clarifies my most likely grade or something. I so wish to work in Koblenz … and all that money would be so good. So please keep your fingers crossed for that one. Koblenz is a great town .. and they speak my dialect.
I am back .. on my old laptop (the fan issue one, for those who follow here for a longer time). The other one had to be sent in to ACER to get a new HDD. I will be meeting with the proff about my thesis on Friday.
While away, I stitched a little (on the dog RR) and also finished (almost) the test knitting I did for someone. I will share a photo of the finished cardigan as soon as I bought buttons and bloked.
Snoopy had a great time the past week, playing Mario Kart Wii and fighting the mean Hay Monster. He was so hungry, but wanted to go out so bad that he just combined both :
I am having an awefully bad day, with lots of stress, trouble and tears that was crowned by my laptop hard drive frying and now all my files are lost - including my thesis. Yep, I am serious. Not sure yet wether or not I will get a new laptop tomorrow or they’ll insist of sending it in.
I am pretty p####ed off at life. I am going to be away for a while until I have my thesis fixed and all. See you.
Hope you all missed me. I am so busy writing on my thesis, I barely get to do anything else It’s very stressful and exhausting to stare at the screen all day and do work. I am also battling a virus, cold or whatever .. since January, but no such luck to get rid off it.
Anyway, here are some photos I wanted to share with you all. First, the new sweater I started two or three weeks ago, it now only needs sleeves:
2nd, I received my Exchange Item at the Just Because Exchange from the Cross Stitching forum. It’s a beautiful coaster
And last but not least, this here:
which is from Cross Stitch Crazy, a Mystery Prize for having my letter for the “Your Say” section printed :) I especially like the hanger and the ornaments
