I finished the knitting of both giantic socks. See my foot for an idea of how BIG they actually were.

Since felting is technique for me, I did not want to really felt in our *real* washing machine because it is outside the apartment and I do not want to stand in the washing machine room for half an hour or hour. So … I remembered our little camping washing machine. Added some soap, some lonely socks and a towel into the machine as well as really hot water. After the first 15 mins, I was quite sad. They seemed to have grown even more - if that was possible. I let them in for another 15 mins and then twice 3 mins. They turned out perfect. Was quite pleased.

Now off to do some very needed model stitching. I am behind shedule, but I got really excited about the idea of those slippers and they actually did not even take 24 hours.  

Well, you cannot really see it, but this sock is big .. and by big, I mean B I G! They’re going to be felted and then - hopefully - will become slippers for me. Knitting is going extremely fast due to giantic needles. They might be done before I go to bed tonight, so stay tuned for some new photos
