Halloween time ..
.. well almost. I stitched about half of my halloween piece which will be avaible for free download whenever I am done (probably over the weekend). Here it is:
I also started knitting on Christmas gifts. This one will be for my dear hubby, though there’s a good chance he will use/get it way before ;) It will be a sock which will show up once in a while on my “working on” section. I tried to take a photo of my progress, but the photo came out all blurry. I should have a better one tomorrow.
Ada (thank you for your comments :)) asked about which knitting patterns I am using and I thought I’d just answer as a post rather than a comment … anyway … generally, since I am married to an American and am German myself, it does not make too much of a difference for me if something is in English or German. I can follow both languages rather well, the problem is the different names for stitches. Knit is called here rechts stricken (right knit) and purl is called here links stricken (left knit). And those are the easy ones. The last few patterns (patchwork socks, gloves and now the new socks) are all from three different German books I bought. In the past I followed some English patterns - for example, I learnt sock knitting using English instructions, but now use a German book. It is a sock workshop with all sort of heels and toes, ideas and patterns. It is very neat. Sadly, I cannot speack French, so no chance I could do one of those.

I really like this Halloween piece! Great job of organizing your craft closet! You have been making some beautiful things!
