Day 2

Selina | Trips & Co | Sunday, 29 July 2007

Today started off bad with us trying to find a drug store being open on Sunday - aka an Emergency Drugstore. We tried and looked for like an hour. While walking around, we saw some lovely things … like a blue lion (in company with my hubby) …

or us with some strange fountain where one could have actually walk through.

.. to the great annoyence of my hubby, after that I just did not want to look for the EDS anymore. And the battery of my cam was on law, so we had to go back to the train station to buy new ones. We also bought a 3 day partners ticket for the entire city. Was quite a bit, but worth it so we did not have to walk around all the time. We jumped on the cable car that took us to the German Museum. By accident we saw the EDS and decided to go there afterwards. Also on the other side of the Museum there was a beautiful fountain - see here:

The museum was a huge. Many things of everything, but no IMAX since it went bankrupt in 2005 (or so). I got in for only 3 EUR - that was finally a reduced fee worth it :) They had much of everything - ships, boats, planes, engines, microscopes etc. With all the walking, Andy and I shrunk to kids size:

Besides many other things, there was also a section dedicated to surveying, geodesy and mapping. Loved it. Saw many things I actually did use and many things that heard of/learned about.

Then we pretty much decided we had enough, so we went back to our hotel while doing a short stop at the EDS. They gave me some pills (~17 EUR :() which I took right then. We bought some kids menu for me and some menu for Andy which we took to our hotel room and ate there. After resting a bit, we went to the English garden since this was the closest one to go. It was bad. Basically just woods, a lake and that’s all. Ah well.
