I decided to back date my entries, so I do not have one single giantic post. Anyway, we arrived fine in Nürnberg. The train ride felt like forever, esp because some weird ppl kept joining us in our cabin, no fun.

The station in Nürnberg is a bit weird. We had trouble to find around, as subway and tram is not at the same spot. Also, I did not see any plave where line one or two would take off. Still no idea. However, we found line 5 - which took us straight to the hotel. Only had to cross a street or two, and then we were there. 

The check in was really easy, too. Our room is rather nice, though not big. Well, ok, it might bigger than our home Here’s a pic:

After getting rid off almost all bags, we went out to see if we can see some things - and it worked. Right next to our hotel there’s a lovely lake with many swans, ducks and co. Sadly, it seems there are no benches anywhere close to the lake. They’re all around 20m away. Not too awesome, but ah well. 

On our way to the “ancient” town center we walked next to a little river. It was very nice. I added a pic to my gallery for you to see. Arriving in the town center, we managed to get into the first sight-seeing point on our list - Frauenkirche (Church of our lady). 

Judging from the pic, the church looks really small, I think, but just look at the persons walking around. The tower was so high! It also looked rather nice inside. The windows were beautiful. More pics to be seen in the gallery.

The next sight-seeing stop was a fountain called Schöner Brunnen (= beautiful fountain). It’s behind bars to protect it. I guess there’s quite gold to steal and things to damage. I took some closer shots. You can guess where to see them

The last stop took us to another church - St. Sebald Church. Another pretty one. It was large and had many lovely things inside. I lid a candle for a speedy recovery of our sick family members. More pics to be seen

This was all our sight-seeing for today. We went out to a very tasty restaurant to eat and then went to the hotel. A lovely day, really. 

Andy and I are about to leave for our trip. Looks like Nürnberg has a lot of awesome things to show to us, and we cannot wait. It’s so exciting. No internet, so any orders and emails will not be done before Tuesday. Hope you will miss us
