That’s such a pain ..
… is now over. 6 weeks free time for me. Finally. Next work semester I will definately make it longer, so I can take a week or two off in the middle or something.
Anyway, here’s the story:
When I got to work, I told my boss that that I will go and buy stuff for the little party. Then I went into my room which is across from the breakfast room. What did I see there? A giantic bag of pretzels. ARGH. The first guy I was asking was the person buying them as it was also his birthday. Good thing, he alread bought those and sparkling wine. Alas all I had to get - besides the best nut cake in the world with lemon taste - was a little bit more wine, a bottle water and a bottle apple juice. I got away with 17 EUR
The party itself was nice and we drank wine for 90 mins and ate food, laughed a lot and had a great time. Did I feel good and funny then
I went home to lay down for a while and then went back to work. I went to sa goodbye to some ppl and then went home.
Andy and I will be going to the town center in a little bit and buy Andy a good shirt for tomorrow.
I almost forgot to mention: I updated my wishlist again. The link is in a box on the left. I appreciate every gift

A few days ago, I figured my DS really needs a case or something. It’s getting scratches all over and things, no nice view. So I was debatting with myself whether to start or not. When I noticed I screwed up on Watergarden, my motivation for it was gone. In fact I currently rather stitch small things.
Back to the point, Andy was playing video games all day, so I went ahead I designed the front for my case today - with his help and input. Here’s a preview of the design, yet to be stitched. Hope you will like it.

As posted earlier, Andy and I went to the Zoo today. Since we both have seasonal passes, it was really cheap to go. Only needed a ticket for Andy to ride the cable car. And we actually had a ticket from last week that was still ok to use. We also decided to spend money on a boat ride, though we first did not want to due to a lack of money we currently have (mostly because of having to spend money on Tuesday)
We also went up the Lauterberg inside the Zoo for the first time since about 2 years. The sight was beautiful
Here’s a pic of us and more pics can be found here (every picture which name starts with Bild is from today):

I woke up at 4:30ish, then tried to get back to sleep but just could not make it any longer than 5:10. That sucks. I so wish I could have gotten some nice sleep. Ah well. Stomach is not really doing too well, either … I will have it fixed after the sugery. One thing at a time.
Anyway, here’s the latest community I joined. It will be a heart of some kind for stitchers. Hope it’s not all just scissors
Can’t wait for the next part. I used some brown, sparkling 32ct linen and Weeks Dye Works in the colour Blue Bonnet

Andy and I are about to head out for the Zoo, so watch for some cool zoo pics in a couple of hours
As Andy had to work today, I stitched most of the day on Watergarden and started with Andy’s 2nd sock while watching Smallville. Still think it’s too scary for me, but ah well. I also cooked our lunch and cleaned kitchen and bathroom. I wanted to do the living room, too, but I just did not want to anymore
Here’s the progress for Watergarden:

I also worked some on my website and have 23 of 31 self-designed bears ready. It’s such a pain to work through all those sites, but it looks so much better. I do hope to have it done by next weekend
It looks like we will be having a thunderstorm here. Already thundering. It’s so dark and it’s only 5PM. Hope I got to do some more crafts before we go to bed.
I noticed my cell phone is now doing a real bad job. It’s old and I think somehow someone just broke it. Probably my dad when taking it with him to work. I was chatting with my mom about it and maybe we can look for a new one. That’d be good. A lot of times it just does not ring when someone’s calling and the voice mail box is OOO, too.
Oh, and the coolest news of all: We’re excepting a houseguest
It’s Andy’s friend Loren who will be hanging around with us for 2 weeks in September - can’t wait. It’ll be lots of fun
Watergarden grew again. I am finally done with that one plant. Only three more to go. They’re taking forever because there are tons of colours involved, but I do like how it turnes out. Hope to be faster next week, though

As for great news, we just booked our trip
Sadly, Munich was not in our price range - would have been around 400 EUR. Ah well. We go to Nürnberg - which seems to be a great place as well. We paid 290 for us two for 3 nights including train tickets. That’s amazing cheap. Actually, they had a come 3 nights, pay 2 when we go
We will be in this hotel. This is the town we will go to. It’s going to be the 1st - 4th September
I cannot wait.
We got woken up by a thunderstorm at midnight. All windows were opened, so it was as loud as if we had been outside. At least we fell back to sleep real soon - hooray.
I had to see the doc today to have my ultrasound taking. It sucked. I was not allowed to go and pee until after the ultrasound. I never thought it’d hurt so bad to not use the bathroom
Luckily, the thing only took a little bit, so it was ok. I asked how much the surgery would hurt after, and he said it’d not. I believe he was not entirely honest. He already talked to the doc at the hospital and all is known. Early next week I will know when I have to go. Bad news is that I will still need that lotion for a while.
Now finally about work: it was ok. I was told to go someone who worked outside today, so I went to someone else and asked for work. So i spent my work day knitting and typing addresses, figures and names into EXCEL. Not the worst thing to do.
Here’s a pic of Andy’s new sock. Now only one more to go, and then I can go ahead and make some money with knitting 3 pairs of socks
Yay. Can need the money for sure.

Here’s the latest pic of my Watergarden. I wish I was able to actually finish that plant, but it did not happen. Ah well.

Btw, I so wish I had a Watergarden with all that heat - would be awesome.
Sorry I am late today. Andy had to work like real long, and then we ate diner. I wish there was a better way to cook
haha
Work was ok today, though we a) left late again due to cars (had to take two cars for 3 ppl as one of the cars was in need of being fixed) and b) the chief grabed the wrong disk, alas we had no single coordinate for any of the survey marks - doh!
It was extremely hot again. I was sweating so bad starting at 9:30. No fun. I hate being sweaty all day. I drink all my lemon tee (1.25l) and a little bottle of Mezzo (0.5l) and had an ice cream .. and was still thirsty. It’s a real pain. After noon, I was so finished off I could hardly walk anymore
Luckily, my lovely team drove me to a cable car stop on the way, so I got to be home by 3
I still have the ear pain, though. Ah well.
Good news, we found ourselves a translator
Hooray, so nothing can go wrong on Tuesday. Yay. Some pics of Watergarden will follow later on. Really. I promise.
A little update: I think the lotion starts to not hurt so bad anymore or I am used to it or my skin is getting better. Phew, so glad. On Friday at 7:45 I will have my ultra-sound and pre-surgery discussion. Hope it all goes well. However, I think I got a little cold last night - as my ear hurts and it hurts to swallow
Work started bad. One of the two guys I went out with had problems transfering our survey to the field claculator. Then - after it was done - the key for our car was just gone. We did not get to leave until almost 7:45. Pretty late considering that we usually leave at 7:00. Work itself was ok, but it was really hot and I sweated so much. Luckily we went to a nice person and he gave us apple juice and water to drink. We worked until almost 2PM and then went to eat and drink something. They dropped me off only 10 mins from where we live, so I was at home really early.
Good news, I also got the call today. We can go on the 1st August, alas most likely marry around the 18th September. Hooray. Will have to email one or two translators, if they have time to come. Hope so.
As for other news, I made a list with kits and patterns I have. Click here to see it
I also keep getting those annoying spams. Some ppl just don’t know when to stop. It’s always the same stupid person, I can tell that. I will take actions now. You’re messing with the wrong person, dude.
Work was ok. I had a lot of typing to do. I made lists with ppl we - or should I say they - visit within the next few weeks. I was alone in my office again - and I love it. I got to stitch and work, it was heaven
I also have a Happy Dance to report
I finished the Tatty Teddy. Pic is here & the finished off pciture will be hopefully on my website this or next weekend:

After work, Andy and me went out to the town center. I needed a something to finish off my Tatty Teddy and Andy wanted a cd. I also bought a notebook for something else to finish. We also went out for diner, as otherwise it’d have taken way too long to eat and all. That’s why I was late posting here, too, in case you missed me posting ;)
The rest of work was going ok. I actually did not do much, so that’s why
I stitched a little bit on the BS of Tatty Teddy - it’s a pin, but surely worth it.

I am a little bit upset right now. The registrar’s office still did not call about an apoitment, and on Thursday it is going to be two weeks. It sucks so bad. Next week I will not be able to go as a) I will most likely have my surgery, b) it’s my last day at work on Monday and c) my cousine is coming for a visit at my parents and I need to be there then, too. I will email them later on and tell them we need to go this week. It’s not like we could marry when we sign it all at the apointment, it’s going to be additional weeks of waiting and also need to apply for a residence permissions and all …
I finished the cross stitch part of Tatty Teddy during work and took it with me home for lunch break. He’s really lovely and I cannot wait to be done. Work is light and I am alone in my office, so I might be able to add a lot to it

I stitched a bit of Row of Love sometime before Andy came, but never got around to take a pic. This week, I took it with us home, so I can work from here. I really need to get one or two of my big projects done. Never had so many of them

I will share my watergarden progress later on
It’s coming along lovely, but slow. Only one more week to work anyway, then I can stitch & knit like crazy
