Google Earth

Selina | me | Saturday, 24 June 2006

As a surveyor, satelit pics are very interesting to me. I had Google Earth since months on my pc, but never got around to play with it. But today, I was just seeing that a brand new version got out, so I downloaded and installed it. You need a rather good pc to actually be able to have it. It did not work on my parents pc or the old laptop. Anyway, here are two pics to show you. Please note both pics are also links for full size images.

Above is where I live. Wehlauer Str, Karlsruhe, Baden-Würtemberg, Germany. Isn’t it a pretty sight? So many houses on such a small spot - but believe it or now, it’s wonderful there :)

This is where Andy lives (or at the moment snors) - C****stown, IN, USA. Seeing this, it’s an older picture as trees were bigger when I was there last in 2004.

GOAL!! GOAL!!

2 goals in the first 15 mins made sure Germany wins well-deserved against Sweden. At no point there was any doubt that Germany would not win this game. They were better everywhere.

In the first half, it surely was the playing German Team since a real long time. The 2nd half was not so great anymore, no wonder as Sweden lost a man due to a yellow-red card and Germany did not really need to push hard anymore. Sweden could have came back when they got a penalty shoot (11m), but he screwed up real bad. Could have been a higher victory, but it’d fine. I am really VERY pleased :)
