I decided that I stitched enough for today and put Secret Santa aside for this day. I used for the first time in my life Petite Treasure Braid (metallic floss) and I liked the outcome

After reading Outi’s message on my BB, I just had to try to pay with PayPal at silkweaver.com I ordered one of each of the above pics. They weren’t too expensive and worth a try to see how it is. I wonder how long it’s going to take to get it in the mail box - can’t wait

I finsihed some more of dear popcorn last night, after Vera was here for 3 hours teaching me math again - you can forget about it pretty quick However, I started with the body which is a bit tricky at first sight, but not too bad once I go row by row.

I also spend quite a while to find a knitting bloggers webring that is not full yet. Luckily, I found a nice, new one. Can’t wait

• With the exception of your online stitching friends, do you have any other stitching buddies?

Sadly, not. My grandmom used to stitch Gobelin (which is like half cross stitch with thick threads on printed fabrics), but she did not do it since years due to problems with her hands. In German forums, most ppl are not in my part of Germany. It makes me really sad that there’s no one to meet and stitch with.

I have a wonderful knitting buddy, but she’s too far to meet up and I actually did not see her since over a year We learned how to knit socks today … really miss her …
