I don’t know why they called the pattern kisses, but I sort of like it and stitched it. It’s not finished off yet - still needs fabrics on the back and fringe. Should be sent no later than Monday.

I think it has to do with “XXX” used in end of letters etc. If I recall correctly they “imitate” kisses.
Anyway, it looks nice.

Hi selina this is Miranda. This is a very beautiful blackwork. The reason they call it kisses is because that’s kind of a symbol that some people uses to end a note or letter. They use something like this - xoxo - meaning kisses and hugs (x for the kisses and o for the hugs). Sometimes they even do it in jewelry.
