I have been pretty busy the last few days since we’re house sitting, so there’s lots to do. Combined with me not having slept well for the last few days, life is … different
I could not stitch due to the lack of sleep, but I did some spinning and finished the singles for my dad’s XMAS gift today. Snoopy decided to be the quality supervisor and checked them out. I think he has not too pleased with the evenness, but he let it pass.

Speaking of that cute, little sunshine … he has no his own blog. He thought it’d be nice if his life was better documented in some way. So please hop over to the Life of Snoopy and leave him some lovely comments
I am sure he’ll be thrilled.
.. progress. I finished the head and can now move to the body and ball of yarn.

I am feeling very very bad, so not much chatting/talking/anything
But today, I got something to make me smile. Our own Snoopy is now officially a disapproving bunny. Not that we did not know that yet
.. I would have done more, if I had felt better .. maybe tomorrow.

.. on my lovely Traveler. Still undecided if it’s going to be 2 or 3 plied. Some parts of it are thin enough to make a lovely three plied yarn and other pats are thick enough for a beautiful two plied yarn. I guess I will have to spin it all and then see what I’d like more.

I could have stitched more today, but it’s getting dark and I have some eye problems. I will start stitching earlier tomorrow, so I can do more …

I did not get to stitch as much today, as I had to clean, wash lots of clothes and cook. Add a headache to it and the mix is complete. Anyway, here’s the photo.

I also did some spinning, but it’s not worth mentioning as it was only a few yards.
I started spinning this a few days ago, but only spin a little a day. I had planned to spin it into a three plied sock yarn for my dad for XMAS, but my first singles seems to be too thick and too uneven to make sock yarn. It does not feel like sock yarn either. I might only do a two ply yarn …

It’s coming along alright, even though I am horribly late and feel even more horrible for it

No kidding. I am serious. See:

My job search is going bad, alas my mood is pretty lousy ….. Nothing better to cure a sadness than a shopping therapy, right? Right. I got yet another new cell phone. No, I do not need more than one, but a certain father was unable to operate his new cell phone and then took mine. My new one is a Nokia N82. I especially like the built-in Maps which I can also download for free to the phone, the GPS built-in and the camera. Oh, and it can do the telephone thingy, too.
.. with beautiful blue Alpaca yarn, some Kool Aid for dying/drinking and a knitting needle measure thingy. Thanks so much, dear Lisa. You sure made my day after four rejections in my job search.

I have been feeling very poorly lately that came down to a horrible headache/gums infection, so I am pretty cranky and sad. Anyway, I received a lovely award from Edda which I just had to post
Thanks!! I am very touched that you thought of my blog for that award

The rules are as follow:
1. Put the logo on your blog
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Add links to those blogs on yours
5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs
I do not really know/read that many blogs anymore for one reason or another, but I am sure many people actually deserve that award .. so whoever reads my blog desveres this award
However, I’d like to specially nominate my dear friend Heidi who is great
I finally finished the fiber I wanted to spin for the Tour de Fleece 2008. Actually, it was done on Friday, but it was still drying. It has a total of 8 oz with a total meterage of 2056.

While talking about the tour de fleece, I actually won a prize which I even got to pick. I decided on 4oz of beautifully hand-dyed in blue and brown shades (beachy) superwash Merino which can be spun into sock yarn.
If you hop over to linabear.com you will see three new paid patterns and one new freebie.
Greek Mosaic

Garden Party

Old Flowers

Here’s the freebie. It’s called Kaleidiscope

As usual, it’s much appreciated if you post any kind of advertisement for Linabear Creations on your blog
Thanks !
I can finally post about it, as the pattern became just now available
I finished it in April. I love the pattern, but I am not too happy with the colour choice I did. Some almost solid color would have been better. Either way, it’s a lovely cardigan.

.. it has its moments. Some funny, some frustrating, some painful, some boring, some happy … but all in all a wonderful experience and inspiration. I did not meet my goal of finishing my 8oz of Merino, but I did 6 oz of it into beautiful and soft lace weight yarn and will finish spinning the last 2oz before I start knitting/spinning something new.
Generally, I am pretty proud of myself. I really spun lace weight and my yarn is getting more consistent.
Here’s the collage I made to honor the Tour:
